About Barrow Bar & Bistro

CLOSED SEPT 2011

The Barrow Bar & Bistro in the delightful village of St Asaph is the only licensed restaurant in the town, with a relaxed informal, family atmosphere. Catering for a wide variety of family and business occasions.

The Barrow prides itself on producing simple dishes made superbly well. Including classic liver pate with chutney, tasty soups, stews and casserole, and all beef is from prime succulent local cattle, and the fish, freshly caught from nearby waters.

The recent new addition of the bar lounge area has meant diners can enjoy a pre or post dinner drink or you can just come in for a drink. We have an extensive array of draft and bottled beers, or why not ask Menna - a trained mixologist to mix you a cocktail?!

Set in a beautiful, historic building which use to be the "Alms" house for people of the parish. Call in and sample our warm and friendly atmosphere for yourself.

There is a regularly changing specials board which incorporates all the best of English cuisine.

This Bistro is certainly worth a recommendation. We held a birthday celebration there for nine people and found the place, the staff and the food really excellent. Try it, it's great.

We are frequent diners at The Barrow and that in itself should speak volumes! Just enjoyed a lovely meal (as always) in comfortable, attractive surroundings. Menna looked after us superbly and John cooked us a fabulous meal. Topped off with a Chateauneuf du Pape, what else could you need?
