I was looking at the place as a possible venue for my wedding, but was a nervous at the reviews on trip advisor as most of them are very bad. So me and my sister decided to go on a friday night and i must it was lovely, the staff couldnt do enough for you, very helpful. The service was second to none. The food was great, very good value for money at around £12 for 3 courses. As a 25 year old i thought it was going to bad but it really was fab, Definitely a possible wedding venue for me. The only thing bad was the drinks are quite pricey but everything else was really great.

I decided to book a table for our family for my husbands 65th birthday at the Heathercliffe. From when we arrived to when we left we had personal treatment by all the staff. The food was excellent and plentiful. Nothing was to much trouble, we even took a bithday cake and it was lite and brought into the dinning room and everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' to my husband, which really made his day.
My family and myself would not hesitate to visit again in the future.

We recently visited The Heathercliffe Hotel in February. The Hotel is located in beautiful countryside and is reached along a country lane; it is however well signposted. The grounds are well cared for with ample parking. We arrived to a very warm welcome from the staff on duty. The entrance and two open lounges are very comfortable and relaxing. We had drinks and coffee in the lounge, my coffee was refilled at no extra charge. The Hotel has free WiFi which I connected to with no problem at all. I was very impressed with our bedroom which had a lovely en-suite bathroom. I have to say this is probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in! I particularly loved the detail to period features in the room. All the amenities you would expect were available eg TV with magazine, tea & coffee facilities and very nice toiletries in the bathroom. Coming down to dinner in the evening we were welcomed and shown to the Dining room. The scene was set by the very knowledgeable waitress, beautiful linen and glassware on the table. We dipped into the special menu, 3 courses for £10 and also the main menu and our bill was adjusted accordingly. I am still amazed at the quality of the food for the price we paid, it really was exceptional and I have no hesitation in making a recommendation. We both opted for the Full English Breakfast, brilliant, not a hash brown or beans in sight! There was also self service choice of juice, fruit salad, cereals, croissants, muffins and rolls. We had a very enjoyable stay and will certainly be returning.
