This hotel is truly stunning. its the kind of place youd expect in a posh london suburb. The food we had on the night we stayed was amazing and the room was as good as any 'small hotel' id ever seen. A great place with an amazing level of quality

On arriving at the Alexandra court hotel for a birthday meal, we were very pleasently at ease with our choice of restaurat. However!! When we finally had our drinks order taken, we perused the menu, and overheard that another party placing their order were disappointed to learn that there were only 3 beef medallions available. I ordered this also, with steak substituting the beef. Reasonably happy i explained (in detail) how i'd like this cooked and enquired to which vegetables would be served. An hour after arriving for our pre-booked table we were seated. Starters arrived - ok. I was then astonished to receive a meal accompanied by a completely different sauce to what was stated, and the steak cooked not how i requested. The vegetables then came - not what the waiter had previously informed us would be served. Although the staff were very pleasant and accommodating to our complaint we still left very hungry and very dissatisfied. With only a restaurant seating a few tables i'm amazed the chef wasn't able to cope!

Wow, what a great little place, the restuarnt was amazing, the red colour was really stunning and gave a great atmosphere. The Food was all fresh and you could tell too. the hotel itself had just been re done and looked so fantastic in its victorian appeal, the owner has put alot of work into this one..does anyone who owns it?a chain? a person?do they have any where else i can try? try The Red Room restuarant, top place, 5 star
