James is a Scottish acoustic singer/songwriter, based in London. Starting as a busker at fifteen, he has been playing his way across Europe for over a decade. During his recent Uk tour James headlined at the 100 Club, The Bedford Theatre, The Troubador, Whelans Dublin and Pivo Pivo Glasgow. James's gig at the 100 Club lead to his collaboration with Grammy and Mercury Music award winning legend Ken Nelson, who was captivated by James raw talent and produced James's debut EP, Before I Die. He has a strong international and dedicated fan base from his time touring Europe; in Finland he recorded with Universal Records alongside Olavi Uusivirta, in France he supported Jane Birkin and Christoph Miosec, and in the UK he has supported artists such as The Rasmus. In September, James will support Turin Brakes for an exclusive UK gig. His song 'The Hills are Hers' has been selected as a soundtrack for a highly anticipated Redbull video of surfer Jordy Smith, released early April. "James is a great artist to work with.
