Roebuck is 'Best of Britain'

A POPULAR Cheshire pub has been dubbed the 'Best of Britain' by a leading national newspaper. The Roebuck in Mobberley was named as the place to eat in a Sunday Times travel feature on Alderley Edge.

The feature appeared last month as part of the newspaper's Great British Weekend series in which writers visit different areas of the country and highlight the best of what is on offer.

Manager Mel Kanaris said:
'It was obviously great for us to be named in the article. Cheshire as a whole is blessed with some excellent eateries so to be chosen by a writer from a newspaper like The Sunday Times is a real honour.'

It caps a fine year for The Roebuck, which was voted Cheshire Dining Pub 2010 by the readers of The Good Pub Guide.

Located just off the B5058 from Knutsford to Alderley Edge the Grade II-listed Roebuck at Mobberley has long been one of Cheshire’s most attractive country inns.
