Samsi listed in Channel 4's Top 10 Healthy Restaurants in the UK

New Samsi listed on channel 4 website as one of the top 10 healthy restaurants in the UK!

What Channel 4 say...

'If you want healthy, look no further than Japanese cuisine and sushi in particular. Leave the deep-fried tempura to one side, lay off the soy sauce (often high in salt) and indulge in miso soup with seaweed and tofu, omega 3-rich fish and raw vegetables which retain their nutritional benefits. This successful Manchester restaurant has spawned sibling restaurants and take-away and sells authentic ingredients so you can experiment at home. Tapas-style small dishes also help curb your intake.'

About New Samsi

Since opening Samsi has featured on various TV shows as well as being nominated for numerous awards including Life magazine's best Newcomer.

The menu contains dishes handpicked and researched every region in Japan. Samsi aimed for the balance of authenticity and trying to convert the most reserved British taste buds. Smoked salmon sushi was originally frowned on by sushi gurus but served by us first 15 years ago, it is now available in most supermarkets. We cater well for sushi connoisseurs too, although it is only a fraction of our menu. The menu is constantly updated and new dishes are always introduced.

The restaurant incorporates a raised second floor where you can will find the traditional style floor seating. With downstairs using the 'western' style table seating.

Latest addition to the Samsi enterprise is the Japanese supermarket and casual dining experience in the basement of 36-38 Whitworth Street in Samsi Express. All produce is 100% authentic Japanese.
