Bryn Awel Tapas tempts the tastebuds

The Bryn Awel Hotel is bringing a twist to Friday evenings to help chase away the autumnal blues, by launching a new Tapas menu to bring a Spanish taste to the start of the weekend.

And in a bid to help people beat the credit crunch, visitors to The Bryn Awel who fancy trying out the Mediterranean-style of eating, will be able to order all they can eat for one set price.

Tapas is a selection of appetizers that used to be eaten as little snacks while having a drink. But it has developed into a cuisine of its own, and consists of numerous smaller dishes which can be shared between diners. Traditionally, it is thought to stimulate conversation, as people concentrate on each other rather than their food.

Hotel Director Greg Shankar said: “This is something new for Mold and new for us at The Bryn Awel. We have had a trial run and it was very successful. We are now going to hold a Tapas night every Friday where people can order as much as they like from the menu for just £12.95 each.

“With the Thai restaurant and the Bistro, and now the Tapas nights, we aim to give people in Mold a variety of foods to choose from.”

The Tapas nights will be held every Friday, but will be postponed during December for the Christmas period.
