After working as Head Chef at the Hayward at the Lion Hotel for the past 10 months, Paul Maders has taken over as Executive Chef, having worked previously as Head Chef for Michael Caines at ABode Manchester.

The menus emphasis will be modern British, with some old Shropshire recipes given a makeover.

Having gained a reputation for excellence and being awarded 2 AA rosettes along with an extremely good rating in the Michelin guide, the next year will be about pushing the standards to new heights, and exceeding customers expectations, trying to make The Hayward one of the most dynamic restaurants in the region.

Open for lunch and dinner The Hayward offers a quintessentially British menu with a few subtle twists. Working in harmony with the seasons and a wealth of local suppliers, the restaurant brings an enhanced level of dining experience to the heart of Shropshire.
