The Jug and Bottle is a country-style traditional pub that sits right in the heart of the busy town of Heswall. You would never know though, with our secluded setting it's just perfect for enjoying a nice relaxing meal.

Our fresh homemade menu has been created by our talented team of chefs offering a diverse variety of dishes ensuring there is something to please every palate, including a delicious selection of starters, hot and cold sandwiches along with a delicious selection of hearty filling mains and mouthwatering homemade desserts.

All of meat and vegetables are sourced locally on the Wirral from within a 10 to 15 mile radius. We are proud to showcase the fantastic produce that Wirral has to offer as well as support local business.

Our menu changes regularly so that the chefs can try out their new creations! We would however just like to give you a taster of some of the dishes that we serve.

To start: 'Locally-reared Gloucester old spot pork terrine, Edge & Son cured ham crisps, pea salad and apple chutney' or for a delicious sandwich at lunchtime why not try his '12 hour pulled Gloucester old spot pork, apple slaw and a sticky smoky sauce toasted sandwich'. For mains: 'Pan-roasted free range chicken, stuffed and rolled chicken supreme with black pudding hash brown, market vegetables, bacon and mushroom cream sauce'.

Don't forget to leave room for one of our irresistible homemade desserts such as our 'Cookie dough fudge brownie with dark chocolate fondue sauce hazelnut brittle'. chocolate heaven!

We serve our delicious roasts on a Sunday from 12.00pm - 8.00pm offering a choice of three cuts of meat with all the traditional trimmings. Our homemade menu is served at the following times:

EVENING
Monday to Thursday 5.30pm - 9.00pm
Friday and Saturday 5.30pm - 9.30pm
