With reclaimed oak panelling and stunning antique bric-a-brac sympathetic to its 1860's Heritage, the pub maintains traditional charm but with a contemporary twist.
Built by the Hesketh family in the 1880's to replace the old village inn, 'The Horse & Jockey', the Tavern has always been fondly loved by locals and travellers alike.
Drinkers can relax in the cosy bar lounge in front of the open fire whilst diners have the choice of the original 'Tavern' area or the newly built and beautifully decorated 'Barn' with forty covers, a perfect space for functions.
The huge award-winning gardens provide seating for some two hundred people. Parents can keep a close eye whilst their children enjoy the enclosed play trail, running the full length of the beer garden.
