About Il Viandante @ The Wayfarer

Wayfarer building is one of the oldest in Pabold. It was originally 2 cottages built in the late 1700's following the River Douglas being made navigable. Local memories say it became a small restaurant called the Parraquean during the 1960's. At that time there were six small 'back to back' houses standing on the site of the present car park. The Restaurant later became the Wayfarer, a guesthouse and the small building was joined to the neighbouring pair of semis as it is today.

The most recent changes happened in 2009 when the IL Viandante Italian Bistro was built onto the Wayfarer. Using original walls an award winning standard classy bistro was made with a glass peaked entrance to allow the setting sun, washed golden by the adjoining hay fields to wash over the Restaurant.

Total Score:
The Wayfarer had a really helpful attitude. The Pub atmosphere was really chilled. The food was perfectly cooked and the flavors were really unique. It is nice to get real ale with food too. Definitely the best in the area
