We had Christmas Dinner for 3 on Christmas Day - When we arrived at midday the car park was already busy and on entry into the Sandpiper there was lots of people - nevertheless, the Manager had everything well organised, as soon as we walked in we got asked what we were drinking at the bar, whilst the helpful staff showed people to their tables. The atmosphere was exciting as we pulled the crackers and warmed up on the wine - the open fires were lit.. as we had pre booked we knew what meals we were expecting.. when the meals arrived, the soup was piping hot, bread rolls soft and the other starters were set out beautifully, the main courses were served hot and plenty of vegetables and roast and boiled potatoes.. the desserts we all had different, were all delightful and we all agreed although we had never been out Christmas Day before.. we would not hesitate in booking the Sandpiper again. As a matter of fact we returned Boxing Day (family of 14), although the atmosphere wasn't as electric as Christmas Day, it wasn't as busy, the staff were still accommodating in three generations of family, sorting the menu out for children and the elderly group making sure we were all warm with the big open fire... Once again we had a mixture of menus and we could not have faulted the service and busy friendly staff, who could not have done enough to ensure that we all had a perfect Christmas.. Thank you XX
