About Corner House
Corner House is the new name for The Mulberry Tree in Wrightington. New owner-managers Ross Lawson and Helen Hunter decided on the new name after giving the interior of this historic building a much needed facelift.
The building, located in a semi-rural setting just a short drive from Junction 27 (Standish) on the M6, dates back to the 1830's and has been a hostelry, wheelwrights and blacksmiths. During recent years, The Mulberry Tree developed into an award-winning pub-restaurant. Ross and Helen intend to build on this excellent reputation by bringing their own experience and individual skills to the venue.
Ross and Helen, who already have an excellent reputation of their own in this part of West Lancashire, bring their own creativity, experience and individual skills to the venue. They already have exciting plans for the future, including special themed menu evenings, an expansion of the range of Real Ales on offer, and monthly live music events.
But first and foremost is their passion for good food and friendly service. All dishes are freshly prepared by Head Chef Ross and his talented kitchen team, who only use the finest ingredients from the best local suppliers. As only the best produce of the season is used, menus change frequently to reflect the availability of fresh ingredients at their best.
You will also be assured of a warm and friendly welcome from Manager Helen and her attentive Corner House staff!
