About The White Bull Hotel
Welcome to The White Bull Hotel a historic Lancashire pub run by new landlord Russell Dungey with 20 years experience under his belt running pubs in Lancashire, The Isle of Man and more recently Jersey.
Traditional dishes are served in attractive surroundings with an extensive specials board for those who want to treat themselves. The White Bull Hotel is an 18th century stone grade II listed building with a fine pillared entrance and statuesque outlook across a small square at the front and the river to the rear. Ribchester itself has an impressive Roman heritage and is a popular place for a day out.
We are situated on the banks of the River Ribble on the site of a Roman fort, there is even an impressive view of the Roman Bathhouse from our beer garden.
We have three en-suite double bedrooms available. In the late eighteenth century, The White Bull Hotel functioned as the local court house for many years and one of the rooms was a holding cell!
