We popped in to The Astoria to see the new decor and menu and we weren’t disappointed. The service on entering the restaurant was second to none and we were offered a window table or a booth. We chose a booth and enjoyed a comfortable meal watching the world and friends walk by. The menu didn’t disappoint and we both chose BBQ ribs which were the best I’ve tasted in West Kirby (and put other restaurants in West Kirby to shame), they were succulent and generous in portion size. The wine list was reasonably priced and had a good selection. The restaurant since being refurbished is great and is often full when I walk by and I can see why. I would not hesitate to return in the near future (the Pizzas looked great as they came out of the stone pizza oven. Can’t wait to go back!!
