The Fat Loaf in Sale swung open its doors in late December 2004. We are a modern European bistro offering some of the best food in the north headed by owners Paul Taylor & Timothy wood (ex Longueville manor 1* Michelin, & River room restaurant Marco Pierre White).

The menu is based around French recipes with a modern interpretation, the wine offering is very competitive with both easy drinking & more serious wines included.

The service is friendly but efficient to give a warm welcome to all our guests.

We can seat up to 50 dining plus a bespoke catering service for specialist weddings & occasions.

The premises are also available for exclusive use hire.

The restaurant has had critical acclaim from the good food guide, nominations for best newcomer at the Manchester food festival and is part of timeouts best 30 restaurants to visit in Manchester.
