Have eaten there many times and find the food lovely the staff have been always polite and helpful. went there to celebrate a birthday with family and grandchildren and had an excellent meal as usual.

We first went to the Amantola restaurant because we were having a meal there with friends, and enjoyed it so much we now visit regularly despite it being a 20 mile journey for us coming from Hoylake. Every time we have been we have been made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and this lasts through to when we leave. All the staff are very friendly and polite, even at weekends when the restaurant can be busy. I think it is better to book a table, however we've been in the past without booking when it was busy but only had to wait ten minutes for a table, and we were able to sit down and have a drink whilst we waited. I've probably been to this restaurant at least half a dozen times this year, despite it being a bit of a distance away. I don't mind having to drive 20 or 30 minutes when I'm sure it'll be a decent evening out. I've been let down by other restaurants in the past, which have been good on occasion but then disappointed me on other visits. Both the food and service are consistently very good at the Amantola, and it's because of this consistency I keep going back. It's nice going down with the family on a Sunday afternoon because the young kids eat free, but it's always a lot of fun when we get our friends together and have the buffet which includes all you can drink!!!

I recently celebrated a landmark birthday and I was treated to a surprise meal at the Amantola. This was the first time I had ever eaten there and it was such a delightful experience. I ordered the chicken korma which by far the nicest I have ever tasted. The starters were abundant and very delicious. The ordering process is very efficient and the waiters are there for any assistance required. Overall I loved it and will most definitely be going again.
