Got a last minute deal to stay over. Overall very good night. The service and the atmosphere are great, the food wasn't quite perfect but wasn't far off (I like the yokes of my poached eggs runny and the peppercorn sauce was just average). Very good though!

Total Score:
Excellent from start to finish. Dined here a few weeks ago as part of a DBB package whilst staying at the hotel for an anniversary. £60 allowance given as part of package for dinner and although we spent more than double that on the meal (with wine) it was absolutely worth it. Formal surroundings but managed to make us feel relaxed, attentive staff, nothing too much trouble. A pre-dinner drink was included in our package which I asked to alter to something more to my taste, no problem, nibbles given in the lounge and free to go through to the restaurant at own leisure. Complimentary first course, superb scallop starter, fantastic fish & lamb mains and deserts to die for. Presentation, taste and quality of the food is excellent – perfect for a special occasion or treat. Definitely recommended.

We booked this as my wife had received an email with regards to their D.B.B packages. The Hall is a fantastic old building, full of character, with the restaurant located in an old oak panelled back room. We had a drink in the bar before hand and were shown through to the restaurant, service thought was exceptional. The food isnt cheap but of a very high standard, I opted for a main from the a la carte menu - beef, which was tasty and well cooked. My wife enjoyed her 3 courses aswell. A really good restaurant and certainly worth a try, forgot to say they have a Spa onsite which is also very nice, and some good rates at the mo, so definitely worth trying.
