Had my birthday meal there recently with my father and the food was excellent and the decor delightful. We always enjoy our experience at the Golden Pheasant.

Today we fancied a Sunday carvery and after reading the reviews decided to try the Golden Pheasant in Plumley. I am so glad we did. The pub/hotel itself has an array of charming dining and lounge furniture, with an equally charming interior to match. The tables and seating arrangement are arranged to offer privacy and space, with a light airy feel the pub and dining area allows you to relax in the surroundings. The food itself was as it should be. The starters and desserts were fantastic with the carvery having some of the best meats i have tasted for a while. Big joints of meat carved as you like, thick, thin, well done to rare. Fantastic value for money and very generous. Overall I cannot fault the dining experience for what we wanted, it fit the bill perfectly. We will be definitely going back there to stay for a night in one of the 4 poster bedrooms and on a cold winters night am already looking forward to some fantastic food and cosy into some of the relaxing chairs in front of the real life fires with a brandy or two. If you are after some good food, in a charming relaxing environment then go here. I cannot recommended enough.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for a great evening we had at the Golden Pheasant on Wednesday night for my Daughters 21st Birthday. The food, service and ambiance was first class. Look forward to our next visit.
