About The Snowdon Hotel
The Snowdon is one of the oldest pubs in Llandudno situated on Tudno Street on the side of the Great Orme.
This was the first street built in the 'modern' Llandudno around 1850, from where Llandudno expanded under the guidance of Lord Mostyn to the grand Victorian resort which we have today. By 1860 number 12 Tudno Street had been converted into a Public House under the care of the Davies family, who are believed to have been the first landlords. Later number 11 was purchased and incorporated into the present building. The small public bar was originally a lean-to and the structure that now forms the bar was the bay window at the end of the building.
The Snowdon, situated at the quieter end of town below the Great Orme is one of the few remaining traditional pubs in Llandudno, and is frequently referred to as the "locals' local" so you're guaranteed to bump into someone interesting in there. We offer a wide range of cask-conditioned ales with specially selected guest beers each week. There's a traditional open fire to enjoy in the winter and a terrace on the front to soak up the rays and admire the views up to the Great Orme during the warmer months.
