About The English Maid
All aboard the English Maid, a 1933 Dutch-built barge moored on the Thames after many years spent on the Seine. Located close to Vauxhall Bridge, this floating restaurant serves hearty British staples from battered cod and chips to steak and kidney pudding, with a few international favourites crowding out the menu. The warm, informal atmosphere is affable and easygoing, with an all-day coffee shop and summer barbeques on the upper deck and regular live jazz and classical music in the evenings.
